WVS is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals in the local Willamette Valley. The organization fulfills its mission by providing a place for musicians to thrive and play quality music and to share these rich musical programs with the surrounding community. WVS also endeavors to collaborate with other artists and cultural organizations in the Willamette Valley further enhancing its programs and broadening community outreach.
Willamette Valley Symphony’s “Arts for All” program provides $5 concert tickets to all people who have an Oregon Trail food stamp card. Our goal is to provide live classical music to everyone in our community, despite economic barriers.
The “Youth Passport” program provides free tickets for adults that accompany youth to a performance. We believe that an orchestra adds to the cultural fabric of a community and can serve to bring people together to experience something profound that can enrich their lives.

VOLUNTEER
VOLUNTEER
The Willamette Valley Symphony welcomes community volunteers in a variety of roles. Some of the ways in which volunteers are currently needed are:
USHERING – Do you like to greet people and make them feel welcome? Ushering is a great way to make sure that everyone who comes to a WVS concert feels welcome. Ushers need to arrive 45 minutes before the concert.
POSTERING – Putting up posters and distributing other marketing materials is a fun job for people who enjoy walking and visiting local businesses. It’s amazing how many supportive, friendly business owners welcome our materials.
SPECIAL SKILLS – Do you have a special skill that you think would be of use to our orchestra? We are always happy to discuss your ideas for becoming involved as a volunteer.
Volunteers are rewarded with the knowledge that they are essential to making our concerts a reality. We show our gratitude to our volunteers by offering complimentary tickets to our concerts in exchange for their efforts.
